AJ4PM: Needed more-than-ever

John Rentoul has two posts today on the most urgent task facing us.  The increasingly important matter of housing Our Man in Downing Street.

Yes, of course, Brown is mistaken to have said this on GMTV:

I think that's the right thing to do. When you've set off on a journey, you have got to complete that journey.

If the memory bank is doing the job it should, Brown has said this before and will no doubt say it again.  Anyway, it doesn't matter what Our Dear Leader says.  As John correctly points out:

We know that he will have to be forced out by a Cabinet putsch with the support of the wider parliamentary party.

Which brings the AJ4PM committee back to the question posed the other day:

Does Alan Johnson want the job?

Can we assume that discreet soundings have been taken?

  1. Would it help? Do we want him? I certainly don't!
He has shown himself to have absolutely no backbone over the Gary McKinnon extradition debacle by faithfully obeying McDoom's every command! Hardly leadership material.
