The Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Mandy to you and I, is leading a one-day British business delegation to Baghdad and Basra.
It was reported this morning that a series of car bombs went off in the Iraqi capital ahead of Mandy's arrival, the worst for several weeks.
The authorities in Iraq are denying the two events are connected.
