Have faith in Alan Johnson

imageThis ticking time bomb needs to be defused.  Gary McKinnon’s extradition has now entered the political arena with David Cameron’s intervention yesterday:

Gary McKinnon is a vulnerable young man and I see no compassion in sending him thousands of miles away from his home and loved ones to face trial.  If he has questions to answer, there is a clear argument to be made that he should answer to them in a British court.

Our wonderful Home Secretary now has 28 days to calmly sort out whether McKinnon can stand trail in a British court.  Alan Johnson will not let the matter get out of hand.  Give the man a little time.  He has already dealt with ID cards and the Hillsborough disaster.  Our man will not want many more front page headlines like the one above.

Joanna Lumley is not required.  Have faith in Alan Johnson.  He is the man of the hour.  He will not let McKinnon or the readers of the Daily Mail down.

  1. Absolutly! Headlines like this we can not have. Cameron's intervention is key. He wouldn't have said it if there wasn't a legal loop hole allowing McKinnon to stay, which I understand there is.
