Just as Brown was beginning to think that luck was running his way, Baron Sugar of Clapton in the London Borough of Hackney has rather cut the ground from under Our Dear Leader:
This country has had a proud history of apprenticeships, but they have been scandalously neglected in recent times.
That is the problem with a ‘Goat’. They never seem to do exactly what is required, e.g. keeping their mouths shut and getting on with the job.
It serves Brown right. Sugar was only appointed to grab a few cheap headlines. In that, he has far exceeded his expectations.
