Brown prepares to retire

There can be little doubt that Brown is preparing himself in mind and body to stand down before the election.  Today he has declared:

I'd be prepared to take a pay cut.

And on the leaders TV debate, maybe he appreciates that it will not be his decision to make?

We'll deal with the election issue when we come to discuss an election but for the moment the most important thing is we have a public debate about the big issues.

Admittedly, the spin put on his remarks may not be correct, but It is important to remain positive at all times.
