In nearly 40 years of reading political comment, I have never come across two articles published on the same day that are similar and end using almost identical words.
Matthew D’Ancona ends his article saying:
Ask not for whom the phone rings, Gordon; it rings for thee.
John Rentoul ends his article saying:
Ask not for whom the phone rings, Gordon. It's for you.
Rentoul even blogs about the similarity here.
Andrew Rawnsley’s article is similar also.
Remarkable and very telling.
