How long will the G20 leaders meet for?

image

The planning for the G20 is not going smoothly.  The logistics are proving a nightmare.  The bargain priced £50m event is to take place on 2nd April at the ExCel Centre in Docklands. Our great leaders have to be out in double quick time.  Nick Robinson and his pals are not that impressed either.

So once the G20+ manage to arrive and have their photo shot, how long will they actually meet in a formal session before the spin starts?  Have a guess?  Mine would be between 3 to 4 hours of serious discussion.

Nor bad for £50m!

  1. I sincerely hope I can avoid all the hype and posing of this meeting and have the good luck to read the true results. Of course that'll be in the blogosphere not the national media.

  2. I'll be shocked if anything meaningful comes from it. It rarely produced fruit in the good times, now that everyone is coverng their own backside it would take an unprecedented group epiphany for anything to be agreed.
