Today has another Andrew Gilligan moment

Oh dear.  Robert Peston has dropped Moses right in it this morning:  Listen here.

Peston said this (I listened twice):

the Conservatives did wake up to the fact that the City had been out of control slightly earlier than Gordon Brown.

I hope Peston has got his mobile fully charged and is in listening mode.  No 10 will not have liked what he said.

The payback will be a juicy leak in Brown’s favour that Peston will be told to deliver when His MasterMoses wants some positive headlines.  Watch this space.
