You have to hand it the master spinner. Mandy was superb on Marr. He completely controlled the interview and literally hit Marr all-round the studio. It was virtuoso performance.
There were only two things Marr managed to get out of Mandy. One, that Balls was considered for the Darling’s job and that public opinion would not easy to turn around. Nothing new there.
Marr was left flat-footed by Mandy when asked to quote what Caroline Flint has said. As I have said many times he should use notes.
Marr was determined to give Mandy a hard time this morning and completely failed. In truth, Marr was lamentable.
Brown should not be the only person to be fired this week.
