Alan Sugar was very confused on Marr about whether he would take the Labour whip in the Lords and if he would be a working peer. He said his appointment was non-political and he was just acting as an advisor to the Government.
So, why is he being appointed to the Lords and for what purpose? This sounds like another Brown initiative that has not been thought through.
