Why do I say this? Because John Rentoul says so. The debate about Brown now ends. The next debate I look forward to having with John is about the timing of the general election.
I will kick the ball off. Alan Johnson takes over in June or early July (see below) and states that there will be an election in September/October and names the date. This stops Cameron calling for an election and moves the debate back onto policy where the Tories are weakest.
