The TV is on in the background as I work and attempt to keep up with events. I do not think I am mistaken. Mandy has been in and out of Downing Street three times today and it is only lunchtime.
What do we have here? A prime minister that is so lacking in confidence and leadership skills that he is incapable of making a decision without calling Mandy first. This situation is dangerous for Brown even if he gets through today without having to stand down. Moses is totally dependent on Mandy for decision making and, more importantly, whether he stays in his job.
We have a Government with a weak discredited prime minister who lacks authority, run by unelected politician who sits in the Lords and is accountable to no one.
