Sir Alan Sugar to be ennobled but when?

image

It seems that Brown has got his way with the Lords Appointments Commission and Sir Alan Sugar will be ennobled later this month.  In Brown’s new age of openness and transparency, the ceremony will take place at the last possible moment before Parliament rises for the Summer recess.  However, The Times can’t decide when this will be.  The headline states 21st July but then deep inside the article:

The entrepreneur will be ennobled on July 20.

Perhaps the paper of record would like to put us all out of our misery and clear up the confusion.  Sir Alan will not take kindly having to turn up on the wrong date.

UPDATE: The Times has now corrected the story.  It is on 20th July.
