Apparently the government's car scrappage scheme has been such a rip roaring success that funds will run out six months early in October. Mandy has said:
We must allow the scheme to end - take its course but then it will be back to normal. Anyone who wants to argue that will have to take on the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Which is precisely what Mandy is going to do and win. Can you imagine populist Mandy allowing this to end in the run up to the the election?
The nation is slowly learning to love Mandy.
