Brown should have seen this coming

The lack of basic management skills relative to all things Brown never ceases to amaze me.  Surely, today’s expected rebellion by Labour MPs over 10p tax could be been foreseen?  No doubt there will be a last minute compromise, as Frank Field indicated in his interview on the Daily Politics.

The point here is why have Brown and the whips let it get this far. Our Dear Leader’s authority just takes another nosedive due to this little difficulty receiving more than enough publicity already.

Perhaps Brown needs a new Chief Whip?  What he doesn't need is further evidence of his weakness to get major pieces of legislation onto the statue book.
