LobbyDog did well by getting passed the front page of The Times this morning to post this.
Mr Sarkozy stuck to his argument that salvation in France lay in his €26 billion programme of investment in state infrastructure and not in boosting consumer spending with tax cuts, as in Britain.
“That will bring them nothing,” he said. “Consumption continues to decrease in Britain.”
My guess is that we will see more positioning of the various leaders in the run up to the G20, or if the truth be told to get to Obama as the runner up to Blair.
