Nothing wrong with Prescott having a petition set up on his blog against the payment of bank bonuses.
However this creates a slight problem with his party who bankroll his blog:

John states in his petition:
It doesn't matter if you support Labour or not. I want this to be apolitical.
All very well. The only trouble is the blog is not apolitical.
Moreover yesterday:
Alistair Darling, will stop short of an absolute veto on bonuses or a salary cap at taxpayer-rescued banks such as Northern Rock, Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group.
It is good to know that the Labour Party and Labour Government are at odds!
