Three ex-defence chiefs have decided on the tried and tested method of writing to The Times to voice their concern about defence policy and the future of the nuclear deterrent.
The timing is not brilliant for Moses. He does not need this issue on the agenda as he crawls to Obama. However the defence chiefs were rather unimpressed with him when he was Chancellor, so maybe this the reason for their timing. Who knows.
Interestingly Newsnight lead on this tonight. Seemed strange on a day of major news stories.
I doubt this letter will gain much traction, but you never know. Something maybe stirring over lunch in Pall Mall clubs!
