Lord Mandelson will be delighted that Cameron accepted, during his interview on Today, that 40,000 public sector jobs will be lost in the coming years.
To round off the ‘easy-to-answer’ session Evan Davis, who has much to learn about the art of interviewing, came up with the ‘quick fire’ nonsense. Cameron was asked which newspaper he was naturally inclined towards:
I am going to dodge this one.
Very good. Sometime soon he will learn to say: “No comment”.
But, then he spoils it by suddenly announcing:
The Daily Star.
