Remember the economy?
Gordon Brown, the man who spends every hour steering the UK through the recession, has produced a bumper harvest of statistics for the long weekend:
1. GDP fell 1.9% in the three months to March;
2. BA announces a loss of £401m, the biggest since privatisation;
3. UK car production fell 55% last month compared to April 2008; and
4. A reminder of Standard & Poor’s’ Thursday teaser.
Not to worry, Brown’s ‘national plan’ to revive his own fortunes is just a couple of weeks away.
How Moses must be praying the expenses revelations run and run.
