Another prime minister we never had

John Rentoul is right, Alan Johnson has received a setback.  Perhaps the Indy should not have asked the question in the way it did.  Anthony Wells explains.

As I commented on here, the expenses scandal has rather changed dynamics of replacing Brown.  I am not sure the Labour leadership question is all that relevant now, and what we need is a general election.

No doubt Hopi Sen will join the debate at some point.  Meanwhile, John Rentoul can answer the question about whether we should have an election by adding me to his list, although it would be good to have a debate first.
