Cameron certainly showed leadership at his press conference. I thought heads should have rolled, but he did make the important point that you can't withdraw the whip from MPs just because of something that's appeared in a newspaper. Every MP deserves to have their conduct properly examined.
The other obvious point to make is that if the MPs had not been exposed by the Telegraph, it would have been business as usual.
Cameron has acted and shown the way to the other party leaders. He showed not only that he a Prime Minister in waiting, but he is in touch with the public mood and can be ruthless when required. Maybe Cameron is Blair's heir.
Let us hope now that we can finally move on from the expenses shambles.
