It looks increasingly likely that the BA strikes will be called off. Tony Woodley, the joint leader of Unite, has said:
I am pleased that some serious progress has been made over the issues which have divided us.
Union leaders only say that if they on the verge of an agreement.
Good news for Gordon Brown and the Labour party.
