Mike Smithson asks a couple of questions in this post in response to Peter Oborne’s '”excellent piece” in the Mail, which is rather a contradiction in itself.
Smithson wants to know if Brown’s “masterful strategy” was blown apart when he agreed to give evidence to Chilcot before the election.
Answer: No. Brown shouldn't have called the Iraq inquiry in the first place.
Then, “Has Peter Oborne got it right on the Iraq inquiry?”
Answer: No
Geoffrey Wheatcroft would feel at home in the Mail.
