Then again, the answer could be ‘yes’ if Brown wishes to be ridiculed and ensure a Tory landslide.

The only way this government can delay the election to June 3rd is if Gordon keels over and pops his clogs (for real). Anything else will be interpreted as cowardly and the general public are just not that keen on timorous beasties.
